¡Hola estudiantes de español 2!

Aquí en este blog, Uds. pueden ver un repaso de la lección diaria y también la tarea cada día. Sra. Phipps escribe el blog antes de 5:00 cada tarde. Parents: this blog contains a brief review of the lesson each day as well as the homework assignment. I will post by 5:00pm each day, so if your student checks and there is no new entry, please check again.

23/2 - Preterito

1. Check, go over packet p140-141 Act C and D
2. Last bit of preterite. -ir verbs that have a stem change in the present tense will have a stem change in the preterite. In the preterite, there are only 2 choices for stem changes: e-i and o-u. It should be self-evident which stem change a verb will take. Remember, the stem changing vowel is the vowel that comes right before the -ir verb ending. These stem changes ONLY TAKE PLACE IN THE THIRD PERSON FORMS, the bottom line in the conjugation grid. I call those verbs Sandal verbs (as opposed to boot verbs).

3. Make 2 new flashcards for your set, on e-i stem changer, and one o-u stem changer. Make sure to include the present as well as the preterite tenses.

4. Hard worksheet! From a Spanish 3 workbook!

La tarea: finish section A on hard worksheet.
